Get a head start on your college experience with pre-college programs
This summer, you can explore some of the fields of study available at Temple University while you’re still in high school through pre-college programs. Experience our vibrant urban campus, make new friends, and get a head start on your college experience. Customize your two-week or four-week program. All programs take place on Temple University's campuses in Philadelphia and Harrisburg, PA.
- Temple Pre-College Workshops – Select one (or more) of our available three (3) two-week sessions: June 22 - July 2, July 6 - July 17, or July 20 - July 31. Then, choose from the available workshops on those dates. You’ll pick one AM workshop and one PM workshop. Meets 9:30 to 3:30 daily.
Students entering grades 10 through 12. No application required.
- Temple Summer Academy– In this four-week program (July 6 - July 31), you will choose one college course and two non-credit workshops. Pass your course with a B or better and earn a $4,000 tuition grant ($1,000/year over four years) when you later enroll at Temple as a freshman. Meets 9:30 to 3:30 daily.
Students entering grades 11 or 12. Separate application for program admission is required.
Experience life in a campus residence hall. You’ll live with a roommate and explore Temple and the city of Philadelphia when you’re not in class. On-campus housing is supervised 24/7 by a staff of resident managers.
